Teacher:
1. Revisits the structure of a water cycle with a YouTube clip 2. Explains the expectation of the task 3. Reminds students of safety issues and legal and ethical problems 4. Keeps students focused on the task at hand and reminds students to save their Padlet as a PDF in the class file for this task Student: 1. Students take notes on the water cycle. 2. Students answer the question, where are some areas we could be wasting water at our school? (FOCUS QUESTION) 3. Students record their answers onto the shared Padlet resource. 4. Communicate with the teacher to ensure success. 5. Build background knowledge |
By the end of this lesson the students should have a solid
understanding of the water cycle and an understanding of some of the areas in the school where they may be wasting water and how it could affect the water cycle. Students should also have an understanding that water is a precious resource that needs to be conserved, especially in Australia. SUSTAINABILITY |
The students must write their ideas onto the Padlet site to be shared.
